Diversity dictionary
Saba® makes you feel #CómodaContigo.

Nowadays, we recognize love 💕 as a feeling without barriers and without conditions. Love is free and we do not limit it to outdated ideals. We celebrate it for existing because it spreads happiness among all of us.

That is why we want to share some knowledge about the LGBTQ community and the differences in how people choose to identify and how they choose to love. We understand that sometimes it can be challenging to understand, so we’ve put together this basic dictionary of diversity:

Lesbian: Term used to refer to female homosexuality, a woman who is sexually and emotionally attracted to another woman.

Gay: Term used to refer to male homosexuality, a man who is sexually and emotionally attracted to another man.

Bisexual: Defined as the romantic and sexual attraction towards both your same gender and the opposite. The attraction to men and women.

Cisgender: A person whose gender identity corresponds with the gender assigned at birth.

Transgender: An umbrella term for a person who does not feel that their gender identity corresponds to their biological gender. A transgender person might choose to undergo hormone therapy or surgery to align their bodies to their gender identity.

Queer: An umbrella term for all those who do not feel included in the traditional way sexuality and gender identity is defined. They do not feel cisgender.

Non-binary: A person who does not feel that their gender identity corresponds to either man or woman wholly. A non-binary person might feel somewhere in the spectrum between the societal gender-norm of man and woman or may not identify as either.

Now that you know the basics, let's celebrate love in all its forms! Let’s spread inclusion, happiness and knowledge. 🙌🏻
