Saba® makes you feel #CómodaContigo.

The V Zone is one of the most sensitive parts of a woman's body 🧍‍♀️ and sometimes, that sensitivity can be extreme and cause problems in our daily routine.

At certain times, we might experience excessive vaginal sensitivity that leads to pain and burning 😖, which can negatively impact our sexual, social, and personal life.

Causes of vaginal sensitivity

Vulvitis is an inflammation of the skin outside the vagina that surrounds it (the vulva). This increases sensitivity and causes irritation that leads to pain, stinging, a burning sensation, and inflammation in the V Zone. It makes the area more sensitive to any kind of stimulus.

Vulvitis can be caused by multiple infections or skin conditions. Here are the most common causes 👇:

  • Chronic dermatitis - inflammatory skin disorder caused by exposure to various antigens and irritants.

  • Seborrhea - alteration of the function of the sebaceous glands due to an increase in the secretion of the oil they produce.

  • Allergies - especially to products applied directly to the vaginal area such as sprays, detergents, creams, etc.

  • Other infections that can cause vulvitis are fungi, bacteria, and pediculosis

Some of the symptoms of vulvitis are:

  • Redness, burning, itching, and stinging. 🔥

  • Sensitivity in the area. 🌸

  • Changes in vaginal discharge. 💧

  • Thickening or small cracks in the skin surrounding the vagina. 🕳

If your skin is very sensitive, we recommend using special vaginal cleansers that have zero allergens and colorants. It’s good if they contain lactic acid to help keep your natural pH balance and preserve the natural vaginal microflora, and help soothe irritation.

More tips to reduce sensitivity in the V Zone are:

  • Avoid irritating the vulva by only using dermatologist-tested soaps, creams, or deodorants in the genital area.

  • Do not use scented detergents or fabric softeners and use white toilet paper, also without fragrance.

  • Keep the genital area completely dry, and do not douche - unless recommended by your gynecologist.

We always recommend that you visit a gynecologist 👨‍⚕️ if none of this works and your V Zone stays the same or has increased sensitivity. They can do an exam to determine a treatment that can help you feel more cómoda.
